Construction is Complete & We are Starting to Move In! - January 25, 2013

Exterior painting will be done this summer sometime, but everything else is ready!  The white you see around the house and steps is whole oyster shell, used for the drip line and for decoration.  

Bunk room on the second floor.  Four built-in twin XL bunks, and a window seat (cushion will be in place soon) for reading by the big bay windows.

Cozy corner in the upstairs media room for reading or watching TV.  Or gazing out the window!

Living room.  Master bedroom (King) in the back.  Gas fireplace with built in TV cabinet above the mantle.  Closer photo below.

Kitchen with farm sink, granite counter top, alder cabinets, and compass rose inlay!  And lots of light from the bay windows.

Front and Back Porches, Interior Work - January 4, 2013

This is a view of the front porch.  The railing is looking great!

The back porch is taking shape.  There will be 3 full-length steps down to the backyard.

Most of the work recently has been on the interior.  This is a view from the dining area towards the living room.  The gas fireplace is in the back corner, and there will be a shuttered TV above the fireplace.  The front door is to the left of the painter.
